I'm In Trouble!

I'm losing my English....

Okay, so I was recently asked to correct some papers. Later I find out that the teacher I checked them for, had some questions. She showed me a phrase that I've probably seen a thousand times in reading; "bear ...... in mind." When I first checked the student's paper, I didn't even think twice about the phrase. Then when she was showing me something else on the sheet, I thought, "hold up, I think it's supposed to be 'bare' instead of 'bear'."

Boy was I wrong! She went and looked it up and of course it was the former. I looked it up online as well and there it was "bear in mind."

I'm losing my English!!!!!! Help!
